I bought a small SSD, 60 Gb. I intend to use it as cache with/for a 1T HDD only, using SRT.
I hate to uninstall and install Windows all over again, and yes, I know mobo's SATA-controller must be set to RAID. Mobo is Asus P8Z68-V Pro.
A simple question:
Can I push in Intell's support DVD and install SRT while Windows is not de-installed?
A simple Yes or No will do for the moment as an answer.

Intel makes a driver you can DL, lets you run an SSD as a cache drive, no need to reformat. I cant find link, if I do will post it.

Oh, ICH needed to be in raid mode when you installed windows though...

here is a small guide:

Hello nocturnal,
First and foremost, you must install your OS with the BIOS set to RAID mode ...., says Legit, after saying that configuring is very simple, which is true of course.
I installed in AHCI mode and not in RAID, and I understand that there is no way back once Windows is installed.
So again the answer is no, unless of course you have found that link.
