Adding SSD + Clean Reinstall

I built a computer a couple years ago and installed one HDD and now I want to add an SSD so I can have two hard drives to use. Also, I want to do a clean reinstall of windows 7 while I am at it. I already backed up all my important files onto a portable hard drive but I am not sure where to go from there. I want to install the OS on the SSD and after I get the computer up and running, I will add my files/programs back to each drive depending on where I want them. Can anyone provide me with instructions on adding the SSD + the clean reinstall? Thanks.
