Applying thermal pads to the v-ram and mosfet on the front is normal, but can I also put them on the back of the v-ram and mosfet? Instead of a backplate, can I put a heat sink (the same size or a little bigger than the front heat sink) that covers all the thermal pads? 92 mm, 1500 rpm fan instead of the GPU fan.
Will this help? What can I do with the GPU core's backside?

Is there any reason why you need to add more cooling capability?

the gpu idles at 30c and cpu at 33c, 360 rad cools the cpu so its not a fair comparison.
Max gpu at maybe 55 to 60c maybe be more in gaming, depends on the workload.
This is the first time i am changing thermal pads.
If possible to add better cooling!!!

I not known good thermal pads for memory being GDDR5 to above.
For GDDR5 use copper heat sink.
Have care if want add thermal pads on back of gpu ... have much capacitors in gpu processor area.
Use heat sink in memory and thermal pad in capacitors and VRM.

Those temperatures look fine. I don't see any real need to add more cooling to this.

If you're on air cooling, the first thing to do if you really want to go down this rabbit hole is switch to a custom water cooling loop.

Why on earth would you want/need better cooling, or change thermal pads on such a cool-running GPU? Leave it alone, it's perfectly fine! No need to do anything at all.

as an example, here's my RTX 3050 on idle.
not playing any game, I only have browsers open.

sitting comfortably at 35 degrees. It's summer right now in my country, and there's a bit of a heatwave going on.
