I am running small business. The business is giving internet connection to the apartment. I have 8mbps dsl line connected to a linksis wag120n router. From lan port of the router i ran two cat5 cable to one net gear 24 switch and one to d link 25 port switch. Total 40 connections there. The problem now i am facing is very slow internet. When i go through internet some suggested to reduce the broadcasting domain of the network by adding one more router to the network. Can you please suggest how can i set up two wag120n router for each 24 port switch?

You pretty much just install the second router(s) behind the first and pretend the top level router is the ISP. You need of course to use different subnet for the lan and the wan.

Still it will make no difference. Broadcast domain means exactly that. It is related to the size of the network that get broadcast messages. These are commonly things like ARP or DHCP. In most networks there are not a lot of them. The reason to limit them was because each one causes a interrupt on all devices while they check if they can ignore it or not. This is mostly outdated theory machines/routers are so fast that broadcast traffic has little effect any more. It is common in a business network to put many hundreds of machines in a single broadcast domain.

Your problem is 8m is not enough bandwidth to share with all those machines. When a single user can pull 4-5m streaming some video it does not take many anymore to max your connection.
