Hey there, this may be a very silly question but I have a 120GB SSD with my OS on It.
And It Is slowly loosing space and I know thats due to the Shadow Copies which I try to manage well.

But i also have a 1TB HDD with files on it i would like to keep. I was wondering if i buy a new SSD a larger one and install my OS on that and wipe my old SSD with all 3 drives connected will I still have access to the files on my 1TB disk and will the programmes that are installed on it still work?

Sorry if this comes across as a really silly question, I am just looking for some answers.

Thanks for your help

As long as you don't delete or reformat any partitions on the 1TB HDD, the data on it will not be affected by what you do to your SSDs, and you'll still be able to access it's data. Just to be safe though, you should disconnect the HDD when you install Windows on the new SSD.

After doing a fresh install of Windows, any applications or games that are installed on the HDD will have to be re-installed.
