Hi

I need some extra power in my case. I have a 1.4GHz athlon,
a NoiseControl Silverado CPU cooler fan, 3 HD,1 CD-RW, 1 DVD-ROM.
My power unit is 300W, but it's not enough.
I can't even think of adding some extra fans to the case.

Does anyone know how to add a second power supply to
a case, without risk of burning/damaging something?

In my country, Chile, it's difficult to find
400W o 500W power units, but 300W are quite common.

I would be cool if there were a official THG-made
fancy fully documented guide about this. :)

Regards,
Cesar Andrade

i did this with an AT switching psu, their great cause they automatically have a manual on/off switch and will work with all fans and stuff, however it is practically IMPOSSIBLE to fit another one in your caseu unless your have a true full tower and even then there might not be room. i had to cram mine into 2 5.25 floppy drive bays which i later took out because i wanted to use more drives.... make sure you can fit a second one in there before u buy it, its a pretty hard task.

It is really easy, you have to connect two wires with eachother and two other wires with another PSU. On this pic you can see which wires you need to attach:
