Hi,

So I'm just about to build my first PC, and I've selected to use the ASUS TUF GAMING X-570 PLUS Motherboard. Which I believe has a 3-pin ARGB header?! (Can someone, please check, who knows their stuff)

What type / model of addressable 3-PIN RGB strips would people recommend that is compatible with ASUS AURA SYNC?

I'm really struggling finding something that would work since I don't really know much about PC building.

Cheers!

Yes it does. There are some fans/light strips out there that are 3 pin 5V aRGB ans some that are 4 pin 12V RGB. The TUF x570 has two 12V 4 pin and one 5V aRGB.

Now it comes down to controlling all the bling. AURA Sync will control your motherboard RGB headers and any associated Asus product that is labeled Arua Ready, including keyboards, mice and LED's.

But Corsair just released a working version of iCUE that will sync Corsair RGB devices with Asus Aura, but only the 12vV 4 pin headers. iCUE cannot control the 3 pin 5V aRGB header on the TUF x570 or any 5V aRGB header ast this point. Corsair recently posted on their forum that they will not pursue that at this time.

Mind you, this also means iCUE cannot control the gpu RGB lighting. In order for iCUE to sync your keyboard, mouse etc and Asus Aura, you have to turn Aura off. So you lose the gpu lighting and any 3 pin 5V aRGB connected to the motherboard 3 pin aRGB header.

Corsair is leading the charge right now but a unified RGB lighting control is nowhere in the near future. Each manufacturer is pushing their own products.

I learned all this in the last few days. When I first saw the RGB stuff I thought it was silly. I'm 52 so you'd expect that.

But, I've seen some very tasteful builds done with ambient desk lighting. You can create a very clean sleek modern look, or the amusement park swirling lights if that's your thing.
