In Event Viewer it is possible to clear the logs
of System, Security, Application

but not any option for clearing the errors listed
in Administrative Events.

Does anyone know how to do this procedure?

I have been asked to clarify my question.

I don't see any place to edit my above post
so have to put my response here.

I have Windows 8.1, installed by Office Depot
a month ago.

In the Control Panel is the site "Administrative Tools"

Within that site is Event Viewer, amongst other subjects,
such as Services.

Event Viewer has logs on System, Application, Setup,
Security.

All of these logs can be cleared of their messages,
and most of the messages are fine.. no errors.

However, also within Event Viewer is Administrative Events.

This is where the log has posted multiple errors.. some I can fix
myself, some I cannot, some I ignore, some are just
part of the game of Microsoft's planning to drive you crazy.

After I click onto and read each error, which by now has
reached 490 errors,

I want to clear the log, but unlike the other logs I listed
here, there is no option to clear the log.

After reading Microsoft's blog with questions and replies,
I gave up, as no one as far as page 10 has listed this
problem of clearing Administrative Events Logs.

How does one do this? I could probably call
Office Depot and ask the technician there,
if he even knows the answer. I am not
sure he would because I have found several
problems already from his installing 8.1.

If it can't be done, I guess the log will
just keep logging errors.

One of the errors is that Windows Store
needs licensing. No idea how to fix that,
and it is just one of hundreds of errors.

I miss XP.
