Hello,

Not sure I am in the right forum, I have recently had to reformat my pc, I
am struggling to get my settings back to how they were, I have now made
myself administrator, and also myself has a user name, I would like not to
have the 2 accounts so to speak, and delete the administrator settings, as it
appears I have set everything up in my user name, is it possible for me to
transfer my user name as the admistrator and delete the original
administator, sorry if I have confused you, I have confused myself.

Also I would like the pc to go straight to my desk top without showing the
welcome screen, I am the only person that uses the pc.

any help would be appreciated.

Frustrated

Keep the two accounts. Put passwords on both of them. That way you have a
backup in case something happens.

The built in administrator account can't be removed. Besides you want
it there as a fall back in case the working account gets damaged. What
you have is the best approach. Create a user with admistrator level
privileges that is for normal use. Reserve the "Administrator" account
for special needs. Put strong passwords on both.
