So when I start up after effects CS6 I get a quick message saying "Quicktime is not installed on this system, some components will not work correctly." Of course I have the Quicktime application currently running and up.

So I hit "Ok"

After effects runs some text on it's splash logo and crashed on "Cleanup"
Then a message pops up: "After Effects error: Crash in progress. Last logged message was: <4784> <dynamicLink> <5> (location in HDD ending in dynamiclinkmanager.exe.

So I know how to temperately solve this problem. That solution would be to re-install. I've done this 6 different times as of now, and each time results in a breif period of time working untill this error happens again and I have to reinstall.

My question is, HOW DO FIX THIS?! This is so annoying to be dealing with, taking an hour out of my work day where otherwise I would be being productive. Any ideas?

To start off with:

What version of AE (down to the last decimal point)?
Have you rebooted your machine and then tried opening AE from your start menu?
Have you rebooted your machine and then tried opening AE by opening a previously working project?

the version says CS6 11.0.0.378
I rebooted and it still didn't work.
I tried opening a previously worked project to the same results.

I bought a digital copy off of amazon a while back, and it worked great for about a month then started having problems. And it says full version.

OK, change this folder to allow read and write privileges for all user accounts - [drive]\Users\user_name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\ (you need to change that "Adobe" folder)

Understood. Was just making sure you didn't have a corrupted install file. Have you ever tried getting another download (from Adobe) and re-installing with that alternate file?

Also, what version of Windows are you using?

No I have not, and i'm using win7

I followed those steps, and the adobe folder is already set to all permissions.

OK, what about the folder inside there that's called After Effects? Permissions should be inherited but it's worth double checking. Also, have you reinstalled quicktime by following this procedure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39iwDUxcKo4 (Near halfway through the video) - you need to install application support, application update and, of course, quicktime itself individually.
