Adobe CS6 Error 1, after installing SSD harddrive

Hi forum

A week ago I bought myself a mSata SSD harddrive for my laptop, to install the OS on. (windows 7 ultimate).
So now I have the OS on my SSD harddrive, and my files and all on my SSHD (hybrid disk). It all seemed to work fine.
Untill I tried to install the Adobe Master Collection CS6.. I installed it like any other app i've been installing on my E drive (SSHD drive). But when I try to open any of the programs (or well most of them, the big ones anyway), it says "Error: 1" and tells me to reinstall.. I tried reinstalling several times.. Nothing changed.
As to a fault in the copy of CS6, I doubt it, since it's the exact same copy I installed and had working before the SSD.

Any suggestions?

My suggestion is, that the reason it's troubled, is because it installs some of the program on the E drive, and the rest on the C drive... And I have tried to set the E drive as the default directory for installing programs and common files.. It never seemed to work though.

I really hope that someone has a solution.. Help!

The adobe installer tries to save some locations that you changed but ends up ignoring registries it shouldn't which screws up the install when installing multiple programs from the suite. Changing the path when installing each and every program should work. Changing the default install directory will also screw things up because some of the files will go to it but others ignore it. If it doesn't work you may just need to copy the whole common files folder to E.

Thanks for the suggestion.. I tried installing them one app at a time.. Same error, and same error when moving the common files folder..

If you haven't been uninstalling, residual files is why it continues to mess up. Make sure the windows default location are back to default on C. Was there any other tweaks you did? Delete any extra common files folder. How big is the ssd? Can you just install it all on there? The suite is relatively small and you can't possibly need to install everything.

I tried uninstalling, using the adobe cc cleaner tool afterwards, reboot and everything.. I changed every tweak back, reboot, and tried to install to the SSD.. Still same error 1..

The SSD is a 64 GB, and it has 29 GB free, so I should be able to install it to that drive.. And want to after reconsidering, since that's one of the applications i want to work faster. But i still get the same error..

So it doesn't work on C or E, then I have to say it's something external, maybe some other background process interfering. A clean install of windows is really the only way to be sure nothing else is interfering.
