Hi,

I have a timeline. It contains lots of intricate items. I want to take all
the work that I've done, and put an exact duplicate of it after itself. The
reason why I want to do this is to make a small change in the subsequent
version (and more thereafter).

A simple select all - copy - paste doesn't work.

What would you suggest?

You need to create a "virtual clip" by using the block select tool.
Look up virtual clip in Help files. It'll walk you through the process.

Start with a new project and try importing the entire finished project into
a new timeline, choosing from the options given for importing a project.
Then do it again, which should dump the same duplicate timeline in behind
it. Etc.

Should not need to use a virtual clip for this.
