Advanced Warfare low gpu usage high cpu usage low fps

AMD Fx 6100 3,2GHZ no overclock
Amd r9 280x
Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3
8gb ram
650 watt
I only get 50fps at LOW on aw but this card would be able to run ultra 60+ fps! I can run bo2 ultra 180+ fps. Whats the problem how can i solve it without overclocking my cpu? I'm using latest drivers and my temps are stable.The gpu usage is at 40% and cpu 100%

Typical CPU bottleneck. That poor 280X simply cant run at its full potencial. Overclocking can reduce that...

Well that looks like your classic cpu bottleneck however i would think the 6100 would do a lot better than that. Im not sure what is your cpu usage when not playing any games?

Even at 4ghz+ you cant avoid bottleneck, fx 6100 cores are just too slow for 280X.

yeah, the bulldozer architecture itself sucks... vishera architecture 6 & 8 cores are much better

PS : with an overclock he will minimise a lot of it for free

FX 8350 will solve the problem....its the CPU which is bottleneck to the performance of GPU..........

The 8350 will not bottleneck. But i recommend you try to overclock the 6100 and see if that works before you go out and buy a new cpu.

the only real answer to this question is BUY INTEL CPU. I love AMD but man their CPU's suck. I have a fx 6300 clocked at 5ghz stable and everything. and a gtx 970 but this game plays like shit. I really think its just the damn game that sucks. I have tried a million things and it still plays like poo. I don't think an 8350 at 5gh would help me either. I can't get 100% gpu usage no matter what. not even sure if INTEL would fix my problem either.

So have you finded a solution? i have aswell an fx6300 clocked to 4.2 ghz, and games like WoW only load around 20% of my cpu to a max on 80% from only 1 core, gpu usage in crowded areas is just 20-30% and in any other game i dont have problems, usualy this happens with mmos(only tryed rift aswell)
I am seriosly thinking about changing to intel wich it will cost me double, i know.. 🙁 and maybe changing to gtx gpu's, please tell me a solution.

that issue is in the drivers.. mmorpg has problems both in AMD and nvidia.. directx also comes to play since it dominantly uses one core instead of spreading the load to all cores like mantle or directx12 does.. there is no solution sadly.. hopefuly the latest drivers might fix the issue.. AMD is comtinously wqhipping out final drivers.. try and see if it fixes the issue
