Hi guys, basically, there was a resonable deal on this GPU, so I bought it for my pc I'm building for Christmas. Basically, intel i3 4170, 240Gb ssd, 500gb HDD (I already had this), cheap mobo and 8gb ddr3 @ 1886. Well, I still need a PSU and I was thinking about this guy:
http://www.amazon.it/XFX-TS-Series-430W-PSU/dp/B00O3JHESA/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1448726277&sr=8-4&keywords=xfx+550w#productDetails
It's a tier 2 and very good quality.

Well, using the rule of thumb of the 20% safety margin, I'm fine for now and maybe a future upgrade, but I'm worried that the psu will be too weak to meet the individual requirements for the 950. Is 430W enough?

Also, I want to overclock this card as much as possible, because it has to beat a galax gtx 960 with a blower stile cooler at stock. This is because my friend also has a gaming rig, but I want to equal his performance for less money. Is this possible? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well, if you're going to overclock "as much as possible" I would recommend a 500w power supply. A 600w one would be the best thing ever, but a 500w PSU should work just fine for your overclocking ideas.
Anyway, a 950 factory overclocked should easily beat a 960, so you shouldn't need to overclock that much.
