A buddy of mine asked for input on his build. His budget is roughly $1500 USD.
He plans to use it mostly for gaming and some music production on the side. FL Studio/Ableton Live
He'd also like to get a 1440p 144hz monitor. (not included in budget)
Freesync is a possibility with the AMD Rx 5700 xt.

Any improvements I can make? Will the 3600 bottleneck hard? Rx 5700 xt any good?
Just food for thought. I'd also like to slip in a wifi card if possible or a mb with built in wifi but i haven't yet.
There might be enough room in his budget for the 3700x anyway but I'm open to suggestions.

Solution
The build you made is probably the best. It would be hard to beat that, especially since it has a 2080 Super. Also remember that Freesync should work on Nvidia cards too now, since Nvidia changed their ways, but it isn't set in stone as to whether it will work or not.

Nvidia on Freesync? First time I've heard that. I'll definitely be looking into it. Thanks.

After doing some research on the intel 660p drive I posted earlier I discovered some major flaws with this drive. I would avoid it. The low cache on the drive can lead to some massive performance issues.
