Hi!

I've asked my friend of a friend to get me a quote on a $1000 gaming pc. This is what he came up with http://i.imgur.com/y0mbWQW.jpg

The operating system is included with this package.

This will be my first real gaming PC. I have no desire to overclock (I don't know anything about it and am afraid I would cause more harm than good). Types of games I play, everything really, skyrim, FPS, strategy games, I just want to run things on high-max if possible.

All feedback is welcome and if you recommend a different piece of hardware, please be sure to mention it! Keeping in mind this is on a Canadian budget.

Are you custom building, or having the PC built? The quote you have there is somewhat unbalanced. Your motherboard is FAR stronger than it needs to be, your GPU is too weak for maxing many modern games, and you could most certainly design something more powerful at that price.

That's a rip off. This is much better.

you're not going to benefit much from that motherboard & power supply. the 650 ti boost performs on par with the 7850, and a 7870 in some reviews. either way, you got plenty left to spend on a powerful GPU, say a 7950 or 660ti, or an SSD.

EDIT: meant this for Pest64. completelyrandomname's build is also fine.

So... this comp will be able to handle games quite well for quite some time I imagine?

Of course it will! 7970, the fastest single GPU not counting the GTX Titan. Google the price... and that's why I didn't include it. i5 is what you need and nothing more for gaming.

EDIT: Don't forget to grab a CM Hyper 212 EVO to overclock that beast.

I could give you all a bro hug right now. Thank you for the excellent replies everyone, I will bring this information to the Itech guys and see what they can do!
