Hey guys,

I'm looking to build a pc mostly for gaming and some recreational video and photo editing. I've tried a few different configurations on pcpartpicker and since this is my first build I'm a bit overwhelmed.

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: within the next week or 2

Budget Range: $700-800

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, recreational video and photo editing, streaming tv and movies

Are you buying a monitor: No, I'll be borrowing my friends old 1080 monitor for now. I would like to eventually upgrade to a better monitor.

Parts to Upgrade: New Build

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, Windows 8.1

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: any

Location: Ellington, CT USA

Parts Preferences: Intel i5 4690k, and probably asrock mobo

Overclocking: Yes, but not right now

SLI or Crossfire: Yes, i have the option to buy my friend's old radeon 6970 hd 2gb cards (2) for dirt cheap

Your Monitor Resolution: 1080 but i would like to go higher res in the future

Additional Comments: I would like to play current gen games at high settings, right now specifically Final Fantasy 14, edit short videos and some photo editing and digital art (no 3d modeling or anything)

Like I stated above, I would like to use an Intel i5 4690k, and I have the option to use my friend's video cards (crossfire if i want to)
I do not need a monitor, keyboard or mouse at this time.

Here is one of the builds I put together so far, but I'm a bit over budget and I'm not sure all the parts with work together, (bottlenecking/ gpus too large for case/ power supply/ etc)

Since I'm kind of guessing with a lot of this stuff, I'd just like some help getting a well rounded pc and I would like to get the price down under $800. Im also concerned with the GPUs and the size of the case. I'm willing to change any part if you think I'd be better off with something else, but I'm kind of set on the i5 4690k.

Thanks for the help in advance guys.

Anyone else have different configurations to throw in here? I'm really curious what other people can come up with.
