Hello people, I building my new pc and I want to know what's the major difference between i3 10100f and i5 9400f, which one should I choose and why?

Major difference is, 10100F has 2 cores less, but has hyperthreading, which can be useful for online gaming. I would actually put a little more cash in and get a 10400F instead. 6c/12t. 9400F is 6c/6t and 10100F is 4c/8t

I was thinking about that but prices for both processors are way too different and it hard to find them, but thanks for the reply.

Would definitely suggest spending extra to get 10400F.
