Advice for new PSU

Hello,
My PSU is dying , it has already fried my mobo and GPU.
I had a second mobo to use thank god but i had to buy a new GPU.
So before it completely dies, i would like some advice on buying a new reliable PSU.
Im gaming on it but i never plan to SLI. I'm using windows 10 and here is my build :
i5-3470
gigabyte GA Z77M-D3H
corsair vengeance ddr3 1600
asus geforce GTX 1060 6gb (new)
samsung 840 evo 120gb
coolermaster 700w silent pro (dying)
screen : asus vs248 24''

Do i really need 700 watt ?
Does it really matter if i get bronze,gold or platinum PSU?
Are there any compatibilty issues with my components ?
Extra question... does my build by any chance bottleneck my new GPU ?

you need abbout 350w... but its the quality that matters.

I agree about the quality. But will 550 be enough?
I was looking at the seasonic snow silent 750 and the xfx pro750 black edition but wont that be an overkill? By the way my old psu lasted for 7 years at least.

550w is more than enough.

seasonic snow silent is excellent, bbut its succeeded by the seasonic prime series.
there isnt a psu better than the prime series byb seasonic, but you will pay for it... alot.

dont get the xfx pro , great psu tho but it isnt worth the price.

the seasnoic prime is better than the evga.
evga doesnt make powersupplies, they put a sticker with their brand on psus.
seasonic is one of their supliers.

ratings, they are meaningless.
that is about efficiency, not about quality of the unit.

450 watts will sustain your build, as long as the unit is high quality.
Efficiencies a pointless beyond 80+ nothing (a lot of them consist of low quality).
You can't really go wrong tpwith any of these high quality units: Bitfenix Whisper, Corsair RMX, EVGA G2, EVGA G3 (those are just the ones normally found at a lower price).

It would still use ~350 watts ar high load. A 450w power supply will be fine.

Either of those will power your system(even with the proposed upgrades) and are good quality reliable units.

My local store recommended me the corsair RM 750x , and i might go with that one since the price difference between the 750 or the 650 and 550 models, is not that big.
Will there be any compatibility issues , having in mind that my CPU and motherboard are quite old ?
Motherboard uses a single 4pin connector for the cpu.

The RMx series are great units. 750w is massive overkill but if the price is right it's your choice overkill won't hurt anything.

I'm asking about compatibility because on the corsair site it states : ''6th generation Intel® Core™ processor Ready (Intel Skylake and Z170 motherboards)''
Does this mean it cannot support the Z270 motherboards and the 7th generation processors ?
It's probably a stupid question since the connectors do not change but I wanna make sure I'm making a good purchase for my current build but also my future build.

I ended up buying an XFX 850w Pro Black edition. Unfortunately Seasonic was not available but since this model is made by Seasonic I'm happy
