Advice needed badly

would the compaq presario c500 laptop with
1.86Ghz celeron M processer,
2 -2.5 Gb of ram (512mb factory installed)
and Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics. be able to play resorce demanding games like sims 3.

or is there a cheap solution?

i am upgrading my girlfriends computer as a gift. so quick replys would be much appreciated.

Purchasing a laptop with a non-celeron class processor and a descrete video card is about your only option.

i have a compaq cq40-310au, has a hd3200 gpu, plays sims 3 @ low details / low res. just stay away from anything that has an intel gpu.

When you say you are "upgrading" .. do you mean replacing? because laptops dont really upgrade...
