Hello everyone, I have an issue with my current monitor, the model is Asus 27VK278Q. I bought the monitor in 2012 so it is fair to say that the monitor is quite old by now. When I am playing football games specifically there is a problem with motion blur when the screen moves to follow the ball. It makes the game unplayable as the motion blur is very distracting. I am playing at 1080p 60hz. I am considering a 144hz monitor in the hope that it will solve the problem. Is there any way to remedy this problem on the current monitor or is a new one my only option? Also if you can recommend a nice 144hz monitor in the 24'' range that doesn't have problems with ghosting/motion blur i would appreciate that, thanks...

Solution
Ok so I tried it out (confusing game lol), I increased the FPS to 144 however as soon as I got back in the match to seemed to be capped at 60 and that was confirming my choice of 1080P/144hz in the graphic settings menu. The game may be limited to 60 FPS. As far as the motion blur I didn't really notice it and the gameplay was smooth.

No I don't think the problem is caused by any particular in game setting, it seems to be an issue with the monitor...

thanks for your offer of help, but on second thoughts if you haven't played the game before i would have to give you a long walk through on how to play it as its a lot more complex then fifa for example, so i don't want to waste your time.

ok thanks thats much appreciated, just make sure the 3d match engine is switched on in settings, when you start a match you have the option to increase match speed. the motion blur problem is worse on my monitor at the higher match speed so if you could increase it just to test your monitor and see if you get the same problem that would be great. the main thing to look for is the names above the players, that is where the motion blur is most noticeable on my monitor when the screen moves to follow the ball...

Thanks a lot for your assistance, yes i found out from another source that the game is capped at 60fps. Good to hear that you don't get the motion blur i am experiencing, a new monitor looks like being the solution for me then...
