Advice needed on new rig

Hi, I am going to build a new comp from scratch tommorrow. Was wondering if the Maximus 6 hero is worth it if I dont OC.

If not overclocking, there isn't much reason to spend more than $100 on a motherboard.

Thanks however Im from Singapore and our prices differ quite a big difference. My future rig is as follows i7-4771 with asus maximus 6 hero, GTX 770 DCU OC, Corsair vengence pro 2400mhz 16gb, Corsair RM 750 gold fully MOD. Is the maximus overkill? What mobo should I get if it is. Thanks
