Hey there, I built a computer about 3 months ago, and I have grown tired of keeping track of temperatures within the case. I built it to be a average gaming computer, which can play games like FC3, and BF3 on normal graphics without a problem, but Im tired of having to keep a eye on temps then say to myself "enough, time to let this cool off" I have a GTX 550 Ti Graphics Card, Asus M5a97 MB, FX 8350 Processor with Artic Cooling XtremeRev.2 fan. As well as having 140mm Fan attached to my Aerocool X3 case, which comes with a 20cm fan, and a 12cm fan. Is this a good setup, and is there any reason for such high temps? It seriously bugs me how I play FC3, and my GPU goes to the early 70C, while my CPU goes to the high 60C when playing BF3...

Use evga precision to manually control your gpu fan speed (I turn the fan up on mine to 80% whilst gaming). Regarding your cpu, is it overclocked, what are your room temps, how are the case fans situated (push/pull etc), have your checked yr voltages etc etc. Whithout knowing all that its hard to say but try re-seating yr cooler and whilst at it re-apply thermal paste. From what I've gathered, you should be around 40-50s whilst playing BUT 60c is fine. Keep it BELOW 70c as then throttling occurs and just enjoy yr build :)
