Advice needed: trim old Gaming PC down to a Media PC

Additional Comments: MicroATX if possible, maybe with USB3.0 and SATA3.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: the current PC is large in size and loud in sound.

So you just want a smaller computer that makes less noise? I'd just get a smaller tower and remove the gtx 280. Towers are just your preference in style. I also didn't check to see if your motherboard has integrated graphics. If not, pick up a little card like a gt 640. The rest of your parts are fine. I loved my e8400. Such a great little chip.
