Question advice on 1080p @144 build upgrade

Hello everyone!

Soooo Ive had this build for 2 years or so:

-AMD R5 1600 overclocked to 4ghz
-Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212
-EVGA Gtx 1060 OC 6GB (overclocked)
-Corsair vengeance 16gb @3200
-MSI x370 gaming plus
-Corsair CXM 550W bronze 80+

I'm using a Samsung monitor 1080p at 144hz.

Im looking for advices to upgrade this build in a few months because I can barely reach 60fps on most games on high settings.

I play games like red dead redemption 2, battlefield V, shadow of the tomb raider, FF15, the witcher 3...etc

What gpu do I need to play games on 1080p @144??? Would a rtx 2070 super or a rx 5700 xt work?
And also could I keep my cpu or do I need to invest in a new cpu/motherboard? And possibly a new psu as well? (I'm also looking to get something future proof)

Well first of all, what is your budget?
If you can afford this, I would go with this upgrade:
r5 3600/2600
rtx 2060
some 700w+ psu

I suppose I don't have a budget per say so whatever the cost is fine... Wouldn't a 2070 work better at 1080p 144? Or even a rx 5700 xt... Which is better and cheaper than a 2060 And be more future proof (I'm mostly playing newer games)

Will my x370 gaming plus MB be compatible with the r5 3600?
