Hi guys,

I'm looking to build a computer in the next 3 months or so, and it will be
my first time. Buuut... don't have any guy friends that know a ton about
computers so I was wondering if I could get some advice here!

I think I will need a lot of RAM because I do a lot of photo and video editing
and probably a fast processor? I'm thinking my budget will be in the 1000
dollar range but don't mind going a little over for good value performance!

Do you guys here have any suggestions on a high performance photo/video
editing set up? If this is the wrong section or if I'm doing this wrong, I apologize
in advance!

Thanks!

Hello CarmenKameleon;

Does that $1000 budget include the usual accessories like monitor, keyboard and mouse?

Usually, 2 weeks before ordering is a good time to start asking for specific parts.

And the best place to ask is the Systems > New Build section of the forums.
You'll see a lot more full system builds in that section.

They have a form that helps you organize your request for help:
If you fill out the form in *How To Ask For New Build Advice* when you're ready to start looking for specific parts you'll answer all the standard questions that help things get started.
