[SOLVED] Advice on a CPU upgrade

Looking to upgrade my system. It'll be a multi-purpose system for steaming, gaming and After Effects. So far for my shopping list I've chosen;

ASROCK B450M Steel Legend
16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 3200

I've already got an M.2 and a few SSD's. However, I'm unsure on what CPU to get. I had my eye on the Ryzen 5 3600x but will this be ok or should I be looking at a Ryzen 7 2700x? HELP! lol

Well, at the moment with the 3600x included, my budget is around £450

At current UK prices the 2700x every single time.

For £180 its an absolute monster for productivity and still great for gaming.

Some 3600X Chips including mine will run super hot. I would suggest going with R7 2700X As not only is it a faster chip but the cpu cooler is effective and it looks sick inside of an RGB case.

I would wait for 4th gen, at this point. It's being announced on Oct 8. Otherwise, I would go with a 3600., and use the savings on a better cooler maybe.

Thanks for that list! I won't be buying the parts until after the 10th October, so I may be back for advice on which 4th gen to choose! Haha
