Hey everyone, so I'm building a new gaming PC (have the rest of the hardware essentially picked out) and just need a monitor. Now I know absolutely NOTHING about monitors. Right now I'm on a Acer AL2216Wbd Black 22" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor with HDCP support and it absolutely SUCKS. Only goes up to 1650x1080, no hdmi port...its just bad.
I'm looking for a monitor preferrably 24 inches, with 2ms response time, and has an hdmi port. I have no clue how contrast ratio or any of that works, so I hope you guys can point me in the right direction
Here's my specs:
Motherboard: ASUS P6X58D-E LGA 1366 ATX Intel Motherboard B151
Processor: Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor BX80601950
Video Card: XFX ATI Radeon HD 5970 2 GB HD-597A-CNB9
SSD: Crucial RealSSD C300 CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1CCA 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD
RAM: 8GB DDR3 Corsair RAM
PSU: ABS SL series SL1050 1050W Continuous @50°C ,80 PLUS SILVER Certified (Probably doesnt matter)
Also have some coolers and what not, but didn't think that would affect monitor choice 😛
I really appreciate the help! Also any advice you can give me on my specs before I hit the "purchase" button would be nice
