For the price building your own gaming rig is the way to go, but if you're not up to it the rig will hold it's own for a while-most games are console ports nowadays.

So Two 6850's are better than a GTX 580? Also the Tigerdirect system has a 2600K?

If you are willing to spend the money that is a sweet system, but for that price it should also have a fairly large solid state hard drive as well as the 1TB storage (maybe even 2TB)

As not all of us are comfortable building our own rig, prices and systems are pretty reasonable as prices on DRAM, GPUs and even CPUs have come down to make them very affordable. I've seen some nice options to customize rigs on www.foxteknology.com
