I would like some advice on how to make a boot drive swap pain free. I have two Corsair F60 ssds making a 105GB RAID 0 array and have just purchased a single 240GB OCZ Agility 3 and want to do a simple swap. (I wasn't aware that TRIM was not supported in RAID 0)
I have a Asus 890GX MB (can't remember the model right now) running Windows 7 Home Premium. Last time I did a swap was from my WD Caviar black 1TB to the 105GB array and I tried to do an 'image and replace' but, unfortunately the ~300 GB of data on the 'black' didn't fit on the 105GB array. (Weird huh?) I then made a mess of the whole thing and ended up doing a clean sweep and re-install. I have heard that even going from smaller to larger drives causes issues in win 7.
I have 3 data drives, so lots of space for backup.
Any advice?
