Greetings everyone!!!

The community helped me back in 2012 and now even today that very same system is playing new games at high/mid settings :)
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/360627-31-opinions-advice-1500-gaming

I'm now building a game system for 1440p gaming and could really use your help once again!

I can spend $2000 for the computer. (or a little more)

Main purpose of playing 1440p games coming out 2019
(will not be using VR)

I prefer intel, nvidia and G.Skill but not a deal breaker

Also want the RTX 2070, best bang for the buck sort of thing plus I dont want to drop $600 on a GPU thats been out for 3 years already 🙁

I want... 1440p gaming without issues or problems, high reliability factor, can play games for the next 5 years, "best bang for the buck" and all components work perfectly together.

What i have on my shopping list so far...
Monitor: Optix MAG341CQ
(NOT part of the $2000)
https://www.microcenter.com/product/512508/optix-mag341cq-34-uw-qhd-100hz-dvi-hdmi-dp-freesync-curved-gaming-led-monitor

GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 XC Ultra
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JB58VK6

Case:
Cooler Master H500M
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DF2SP3X
Also buying two more 200mm RPG addressable fans for the top of this

Yes, I kindof like the whole RPG lighting thing going on at the moment but would never give up performance for pretty lights lol

In closing, I am not %100 stuck on intel and nvidia but from past experience intel lasts much longer and amd gpus tend to have driver problems, dont last long and games tend to not like them but have not owned a amd gpu or cpu since 2012.
Im not %100 stuck on the monitor either, its merely the best bang for the buck that ive found so far. And yes, kindof wanting ultra wide 34" curve 1440p

Games I play include...
Warframe, Fallout 4, GTA V, Destiny 2, X-Com 2, Skyrim, The division, path of exile, Middle-earth Shadow of War and etc...

I want Anthem, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, Metro Exodus, Phoenix Point, Rage 2 and The Division 2 when they come out.

Would love to start buying parts this weekend, will not be using VR, prefer air cooling, overclocking maybe a tiny bit but not a huge factor and can easily play games for 12 hours a day on my days off LoL

CPU, should I go I7-6700, 7700 or 8700? should I go "k"?
PSU, should I be at 750watts? (always super nervous about PSUs)
GPU, is EVGA XC Ultra really the better RTX 2070?
Memory, is G.skill still the most reliable? 16gb or 32gb?
Mother board? Aorus? Strix? MSI? Asrock?
Any benefit with having the GPU and mother board from the same manufacture?

Already have a SSD, samsung 850 EVO 500g
(should be just fine in this system, right?)

I'm more then happy to anwser any and all questions, would be super grateful for any and all input about this! Sorry for being so long winded, just wanted to offer as much info as I could so that you can better help me :)

THANK YOU!!!

Solution
You have the budget for a 2080, with an R7 2700, with money to spare. I threw in a 1tb SSD just for game storage. You can use your current 500gb, for OS and programs.

Solution
@logainofhades you rock and are awesome for that list :)

I dropped the new SSD for upgrading GPU, mother board and memory.
What about something like this...

EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 XC ULTRA GAMING (08G-P4-2183-KR)
https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-GAMING-Graphics-08G-P4-2182-KR
$799.99

G.Skill TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) (PC4 25600) / F4-3200C16D-16GTZR
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MTDEYHU
$149.99

Cooler Master ML360R / MLX-D36M-A20PC-R1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DV29GYN
$164.99

EVGA Supernova 750 G3 / 220-G3-0750-X1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005BE058W
$99.99

GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS PRO
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HRZRBRJ
$183.36

Intel Core i7-9700K
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HHN6KBZ
$409.99

Cooler Master MasterCase H500M
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DF2SP3X
$179.99

Total = $1,988.30
Free shipping: same day or 1 or 2 days
(i live in Seattle so most times its same day delivery)

Then of course the monitor being
MSI Optix 34" ultra wide curved screen MAG341CQ 1440p with 100hz refresh
https://www.microcenter.com/product/512508/optix-mag341cq-34-uw-qhd-100hz-dvi-hdmi-dp-freesync-curved-gaming-led-monitor
$379.99 (does not count towards my $2000 budget)

Anything wrong with all these components working together, or maybe something could be better, maybe a better bang for the buck, maybe something not so good that im unaware of?
if I dont hear anything else, then pulling the trigger on this Sunday.

One question... is the i7-9700k + 2080 really worth so much more vs 2070 + i7-8700k?

Would love to hear any feedback from anyone 😀

Ok, now back to my review reading and videos so that I can do my homework, thanks again!
