I agree with the above suggestions to go for either GTX 1060 or and RX 580 at that price range.

If I had your computer specs I would definitely go for the RX 580 one because of the FreeSync. And it should be more than enough to run the games you mentioned at 4k resolution in max settings. And if you were to play other more demanding games at 4k, even with lower than 60fps it should still feel smoother because of the FreeSync.

Thank you for the reply. The cheapest 1060 6 GB I could find is $360 but there are 1060 3 GB versions around $300? Are those any good? Found these three RX 580's though: MSI 580 8G V1, Gigabyte AORUS RX 580 8G, and Gigabyte Gaming RX 580 8G.
OK, either of those RX-580 8GB would be ideal. The Gigabyte Aorus has the faster core clock as it sits out-of-the-box. If you're going to run your games at 1080p, you'll be able to max out settings if you like lots of eye candy. At 1440p, you'll probably have to back off on the settings a tad.

Rx580 8gb=gtx1060 6gb
Rx580 4gb=gtx1060 3gb
Dont get the 1060gb since 3gb vram is limiting and the 3gb version had less cuda cores+lower core clocks. It really shouldnt be called a 1060 3gb.
The rx580 4gb has slightly slower memory in addition to less vram. This makes sense since the only thing changes are the memory modules. The rx580 4gb and 8gb cores are the same.

This is not actually accurate. In general, the 4GB RX 580 cards should perform pretty close to the 8GB models in most games, usually within 1 or 2 fps, except in cases where the amount of VRAM makes a difference. The memory speed typically doesn't seem to affect performance much. So even the 4GB RX 580 is pretty close in performance to a GTX 1060 6GB. Of course, considering the 8GB models can typically be found for a similar price as the 4GB, it probably makes more sense to go with the higher VRAM version, unless there's some particularly good sale on a 4GB model.

The 1060 3GB, on the other hand, has 10% of its cores disabled and even less VRAM available, so it ends up performing more like an RX 570, which similarly has about 11% of it's cores disabled, but more VRAM.

^very true. I ment that the 4gb 580 is likely designed to undercut and compete with the 3gb 1060, and the 8gb 580 is designed to undercut and compete with 6gb 1060 pricing wise, even though they dont directly compete performance wise. I have always liked the massive amount of vram and cuda cores found on the 8gb 570 and 580.
I have been wanting to buy a 580 8gb since i have an AMD cpu and 580 are pretty cheap now but i dont think i could give up shadowplay with my gtx 1050, even though amd has there equivalent software.

Thank you for the help guys, just ordered the Gigabyte Aorus RX-580.
