I am currently just using two old Logik TV's that I had lying around for a dual monitor set up, however after graduating and having a bit more money now would like to invest in a proper monitor rather than a TV screen.
I need something that can handle moderate gaming (FPS games, MOBA's etc), casual everyday use I tend to watch a lot of programmes etc as well, however nothing too expensive. I have an upper end budget of about £160 per monitor but I would like to keep it lower than that, it doesn't necessarily need to be 144hz but that would be nice.
Ideally I would like to buy two monitors as after using two for a while I can't picture reverting back to one. So I'd appreciate any advice and if I've missed anything out let me know.

Code:
BenQ is the brand I like, they started by undercutting everyone and now they make some of the best monitors available. The cheapest 144Hz I could find from them is http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/benq-monitor-xl2411z @ 208.96 GBP which is over budget.
There is a http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/aoc-monitor-g2460pqu @ 199.49 GBP
144's are not cheap sadly as they are great.
If you want the best colour representation you'll want to get IPS, but you'll lose out on response time which is more important for gaming. IPS tend to cost a bit more as well.
Some decent 1-2ms 60Hz TN panel ones are:

and
