Advice on computer build?

Solution
A typical but solid config that many if not most are going with for gaming.

Should handle editing fine too. I would recommend sticking to ShadowPlay if you want decent convenience, simplicity and speed though. It will save you not only time in capture, but compression, as the file sizes will be more manageable.

I recommend OCing the 4690k to at least 4GHz and running it with HyperThreading on, which will make things quicker in editing.

Much of the speed of editing depends on what res you compress to and how many effects you use though. It's not just hardware that can make editing slow. Most editors that are feature rich are slow themselves.

As far as build score, maybe 8/10. I would score it 9/10 if you added a decent 120-128GB SSD...
