I've been extremely interested in the idea of building my own loop for a couple years now and and I finally have enough money set aside to go ahead and do it, but I have a pretty big concern. I'm at University right now and I go home every four or six months for a couple of weeks and I normally bring my desktop with me, and it's about a two and a half hour drive home with the destop secured in the back. Would it be wise for me to drain and refill the loop every time that it gets put into the car for that long? If so, I'm thinking I might just want to hold on to my Nh-d15 for a while..:??:
Comments? Suggestions?

A little of both. With the nh-d15 I can push my 4790k to 4.9ghz at 1.29v but temps aren't too great, a custom loop would help out but I know I'm not going to justify 300ish dollars on a couple hundred extra mhz.
I want to do it well.. because.. I really want to do it.

4.9GHz @ 1.290V? Looks like you got yourself a golden chip I need to push 1.340V+ to get that speed.

My H110i GTX will keep my 4790k under 70C at all times so from a budget standpoint a custom loop isn't necessary. But if you always wanted to do it I doubt money will hold you back if you already saved up. If it were me I'd do it just to have bragging right of owning a 5GHz 4790k.
