Advice on first time DIY kit build

I've been thinking about purchasing this DIY kit from newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1351776) along with a WD Black 1TB HDD. I just want a machine to handle daily functioning and maybe some light gaming. My only real concern is making sure that everything will work together. On another post I saw that the BIOS on the MB were supposed to be rev. 5 to work with the FX-6300 and I wasn't sure where to find that info on newegg.

The marketing or sales department lumps older items together with newer ones and gives a good discount just to get those things off the shelf. I wouldn't recommend the combo - the motherboard and graphics card are outdated.

Agreed; you'd be better off buying newer parts by themselves and putting them together; here's a build for about what it would have cost with the WD 1 TB HDD.
