I’m looking at gaming laptops and wanted to get some opinions. The main purpose would be general office usage, video/photo editing, and some gaming. Games include Microsoft Flight Simulator and a few of the Forza games.

I considered building a new PC, but the price range of these laptops is considerably less. Also, the portability is a huge bonus for me. For the two with 8GB of RAM, I’m thinking about going with this RAM kit to upgrade to 16GB. I already have spare hard drives and SSDs laying around for extra storage

If you have any suggestions or alternatives, I will definitely consider them.

Hey there,

Out of those, and based on specs, I'd take the MSI, as it has a stronger CPU and GPU. Sadly all 3 only have 8gbs of ram. So there first thing I'd do when getting one of those, would be to add in another 8gbs of ram. 16gb is arguably the sweetspot for mainstream gaming. Oops, just saw you're getting a 16gb kit.

The ram you linked is 2666, which possibly will hold back the Ryzen model a little. Although the Legion doesn't state the speed of the ram. I'm pretty sure it can 3200mhz.

I think you are confusing the Acer 5 Nitro with the Acer 5 Slim. These are two different computers.
