advice on headphone and soundcard

motherboard: gigabyte z77x-ud5 th
sound card: asus xonar dx 7.1
headphone: astro a40 2013
i know they are pricey but they had some good reviews. so i wanna know if my mobo supports the sound card and what r your thoughts about the headphones?

Yes; your motherboard supports the sound card. As for the headphones, I've never tried it.
