I just got a new job for a growing company that mainly sells large laser printer combos. I'll be working the entry level IT help desk, which is great because I need the experience. I do have 6 months experience at a (kind of) technical call center that supports an LMS (Learning Management System), so I am pretty good with customers.
However, I have a lot to learn in the IT field. I am currently studying the 802 exam of A+ (801 passed already), and passed my Cisco CCENT cert back in May of 2014. That Cisco cert if part of the reason I got hired, because many of the issues I will be dealing with are networking related. I'm sure other issues will be driver and software related, but I don't know much more than that.
I was wondering if anyone here with IT help desk experience, hopefully in a printing industry, could shed more light on the basic problems I will be dealing with. Also, are there any websites or tools I could use to practice my troubleshooting skills, and also learn many of the inquiries that will come up? Thank you in advance!
