portable

5_How much battery life do you need?
3-4h (?)

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Not really

Watching movies

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?
+200 gig

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post the links to them.

3-4y

11_What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
Bluray preferred, dvd ok

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
Prefer Apple because of the design and quality (perceived quality at least). I have a Lenovo X200 laptop at work wich is great, although the design wouldnt fit the person who wants this laptop. I've previously disliked Dell cause of shoddy quality, not sure how they are these days. Dont know squat about HP. Have seen that MSI have some models, no idea how they are either.

13_What country do you live in?
Sweden.

14_Please tell us any additional information if needed.
This laptop is for a woman who wants it to be sleek and soft, organic, preferably black and either matt or shiny. I want to run Windows 7 on it, not Mac OS or linux. Would prefer if it had a separate graphical with separate memory since ive found that that often makes a laptop a little more reactive and makes it last a while longer. Find me a beautiful machine, tnx :)

£1500 or £500 wont make it solid or not, the only solid laptop in the world is the samsung tough laptop which costs £3000. all other laptops are made the same way, the increase in price is not in the strengh or durability its in the processor speed, graphic card power and minimizing componments.

a £500 laptop is ideal, made by Toshiba, Sony or Dell these are the most reliable brands, a 3 year warranty extention is very recommended. no point £1500 for a pc or just get a Macbook instead.

Have checked the XPS Studio 13. Seems promising. Anyone have any good alternatives?

How is Dell XPS compared to a macbook pro?
