Lo all,

Thought I'd ask for your advice on a mobo for my new rig (spending around £700-£800) . Im planning on getting:

C2D E6600
Geforce 8800 GTS 320mb
OCZ 2x1gb DDR2-800
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 200gb
IDE DVD drive (from old comp)

I was looking for around the £70-£100 mark. I was also looking to try my hand at some overclocking at some point in the future so multipliers etc. would be nice. Just out of interest, I am quite new to overclocking, but would i be lucky to get 400 * 8 or is it quite possible?

So far, I've looked at the Asus P5B Deluxe, but I've heard about issues with the onboard sound, and the price is a bit high for me. What is the P5B-E like in comparison? I have also looked at the Gigabyte DS3 and it also looks quite good, but the Southbridge is only ICH8 and not ICH8R, should this cause many problems? Any other mobos people could suggest?

Also I notice that barely any Mobo's have OCZ on their QVL. Does this mean it is unlikely to work?

Thanks in advance,
Gamer

if you can stretch to ~£110 I highly recommend the abit QuadGT.
8x400 on that will be a walk in the park as it's capable of way more.
