This is a computer I want to build for my friend:

Any advice on improvements, issues you see, compatibility errors the site didn't pick up on (paranoid about that), suggestions, anything? This will be my second build. This is the first one I built:

Any major differences in the builds that might be good to know about? (ex. if i used a fully modular psu the first time and then a nonmodular the second time, to expect the cords etc...)
Thank you 🙂

Well first, having me change my entire build is not really the kind of advice I'm looking for. But secondly, I probably should have said that I was given the MoBo for free and thats why I'm using it. So it needs to stay. What exactly does "locked processor" mean?

Intel processors that have numbers ending with K , like 3570K , have an unlocked multiplier and can be set run faster "overclocked " .
To do that you pair them with a mb with a Z77 chipset motherboard .

Other intel chip sets like H61 , H77 , B75 do not let you overclock
Obviously if you are smart you do not buy a locked processor and a more expensive mb for overclocking
In your case you have the board so thats fine.

A couple of extra $ and better gaming

Definitely use a dual channel RAM kit . Two pipelines of data always beats one . If you can only afford 4 gig of RAM then make it a 2 x2 gig kit

Ideally use a 2 x 4 gig kit if you can afford it

But you said 1155 socket isn't used anymore? So come time to upgrade I'd need a new CPU and Mobo? If so I'll just start from scratch and try to sell off the mobo. Also I switched to 2x2gb for memory thanks, and switched to the 260x. How much more wattage cap than actual wattage used would you recommend? if it says my build uses 350 watts is buying a 450 watt psu risking anything? Not quite sure if theres a range or something.
