I purchased a used computer a while back to get back into pc gaming and tinkering and just looking for some advice or tips and what not from people with experience. I would like to experiment with oc but a total newb at it. Also not sure if the mem speed is correct. Shouldn't it be at 800mhz? I recently put in the msi gtx 970 and upgraded to the ssd. Are there any sites for info on overclocking the cpu, mem, gpu? Anything I should adjust? I'm sure upgrading the cpu will be suggested. I am planning on it when I have the funds.Thank you for any advice.

When you turn on your pc keep pressing delete and that should take you into bios.
There should be an overclocking section, click on that.
There should be an overclocking or oc button that you can press which will automatically overclock it for you.
If not Scroll down find your ram click xmp if it is an option which will take your ram up to the max speed it can go to or if not manailly overclock it to the speed the ram manufacturers said it can go up to then run some bench marks.

I changed the timings to what is on the memory label and now it's saying 859 mhz. I pulled two 2gig sticks out bc it was running in single channel for some reason. Most likely something I did.
