Question Advice on my first pc build

the first thing that slaps me in the face is the RAM. the speed is below the stock the CPU can handle, 2666, the CPU is a k series so do not hobble yourself with slow RAM, get some 3000-3200mhz memory for this system. memory overclocking profiles in the BIOS can make use of the extra bandwidth. I would change to a WD blue m.2 SSD two less cables to run and the same performance.

This is my first build I was just wondering if anyone had any advice.
My budget (not including the monitor) is around $1500.
This is for gaming and I'm trying to make this build last.

Very good build, aside that aformentioned RAM, pick up a 3200Mhz for sure. Also grab a better cooler, a would recommend dark rock pro 4 or noctua nh d15. They are so much better in term of cooling AND silence. Otherwise it is very solid pc gaming build.

(as always, if you can wait for the ryzen 3000 launch, prices of all cpus may drop)

PSS: If i were building a new pc, i would wait for the benchmarks and then probably get ryzen 3800x which will be priced at 399 bucks

I listed the R7 2700X and ROG STRIX X470-F combo as place holders for upcoming Ryzen lineup launching in 2-3weeks(less than a month). We highly recommend waiting for the release of new lineup.

Swapped out RTX2070 for RTX2080 which is tier above it in performance and as you expect the PC to last as long as possible I recommend going with best possible hardware possible as that will ensure you satisfactory gameplay over longer period of time.

Swapped the monitor with DELL S2419HGF which Supports G-Sync with latest NVIDIA drivers, is DELL which has great QC even at low end and costs less.

You can skip on OS for now if budget is a problem as Windows10 works perfectly fine even without activation. You can activate it later whenever you want. There is no time limit for activation. You will not be able to use few minor functions of Windows but the general usage will not be effected or be limited in any way.
