A couple of things I forgot to mention, I want a intel chipset and the SSD and GPU are already purchased.
This should last you longer...

There's no reason to buy a 9700K at this point especially when it's the end of the line and LGA 1200 is coming pretty soon. I would definitely go for a Ryzen 3700X since it has tons of upgrade potential when Ryzen 4 comes out. This is a little bit over $1500 but would be a better use of funds, IMO:

If it's just for gaming I'd change the CPU/MB to the Ryzen 3600/B450 (updated BIOS) and then use the savings for a better GPU.

If gaming/streaming then I'd get the 3700X instead.

I'd use the stock coolers for either Ryzen CPU.

Its mostly for gaming. A couple of things I forgot to mention, I want a intel chipset and the SSD and GPU are already purchased.

Thanks. I see you changed the CPU.

A couple questions:

1. why will this last longer than the other build? Cuz of the CPU?

2. How did you pick these parts? Reviews? First hand knowledge?
