So i live in the Netherlands. I would love to build a new gaming PC. The one that i own is now over 8 years old. So definitely ready for an upgrade haha. So my budget is around 2500 euros. I do have some basic understanding. But all the ideas are welcome! Thank you.

No worries, i get that. Thank you very much! I really do appreciate it! The setup looks awesome!!! Just a quick question. Some told me that for example a i5 or a Ryzen 5 should be plenty for only gaming. Is that so?

Might as well wait for the 7800X3D. That should serve you well for a long time.

No probs. You're welcome.

Yes, i5 ad R5 are both great gaming chips. You won't be found wanting. The 13500 does have some extra cores which can be helpful if you want to stream too. But both excellent gamers.

That's without CPU. Are you intending the OP buy the 7800X3d, and add that cost to the build? I think it goes over €2500 if so.

Yeah, your prob right. in Europe though, there's always a little tax so that's why I mentioned it.

Totally agree on the CPU, if wanting to spend a little bit ore. The 7800x3d looks like it might be a champe like the 5800x was.
Definitely! If i wait until the release date i can put more on the side to spend. Think I'll be around 3000 then. So definitely won't be an issue! Looked it up. Maybe could also upgrade the 4070 ti to a 4080. Or would that be not necessary?

Yeah, if the extra funds help, then getting a 4080 might make more sense. It's a little overpriced right now. But great performance at higher res.

The main thing is, op is upgrading after a long time. Just want the platform to be a bit more lasting than z790...

The i5 cpu is fine if the same platform could be used to upgrade to a next gen cpu. The 7800X3D would last bit longer and would definitely support a next gen series cpu. That's the advantage with am5 now...

You are right. In my opinion there are two ways to go about this. Get something good now that will last and after a few years 3-8 years get a new platform CPU+MOBO+RAM or Get an upgradeable platform and upgrade the CPU at will over the sockets lifetime. I honestly recommend both here and there for one reason or another. I can say that the choice here is going to be a 13500 + a 4080/90 or a 7800X3D + a 4070ti/80. Both are good options with good reasonings behind them.
