Advice On New Processor

Hey guys im looking to upgrade my processor for gaming purposes. I play at 1280 x 1024 and happy to play at medium settings.


My PC Specs:
Athlon x2 7550 @ 2.5ghz
Radeon 4670 1GB
3Gb Ram

My computer model is a HP P6107UK

(On the URL page it says Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades

Out of all the processors available..which one would be the fastest one for GAMING for my motherboard?

I was thinking at first to get the QUAD CORE Amd Phenom 9750 as that is the fastest one available for my motherboard but from this website apparently the DUAL CORE Amd Athlon X2 255 has higher framerates for GAMING.

Should i look into the Athlon X2 Microprocessor family for gaming?

Compare it with a Phenom II , that's what I stated above the II is faster.

Hey, so are you sure this is the FASTEST processor and is 100% compataible for my motherboard?
I see on eBay it is around £60..do you think it is worth it?
The link you sent me btw is a 125 tdp watt processor but i found a 95 watt as well.
