Hi community, I'm struggle to build my first PC with a tight budget of 500€ (600$, 400£), I understand that with this budget I won't achieve great things, but I need your advice to create something solid as much as possible. Playing modern games is what I want to do with this build.

I chosen some components but still I'm not sure if my choices are correct, so some advice would be appreciate it.

Case: ZALMAN ZM-T3 BLACK 30 € Amazon
PSU: XFX TS SERIES 550W PSU 62 € Newegg
CPU: INTEL CORE I5-4460 3.20GHZ LGA1150 - BOX 177 € Amazon
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-B85M-HD3 RETAIL 62 € Amazon OR MSI B85M-G43 RETAIL 74 € Newegg
VideoCard: MSI RADEON R7 240 2GD3 LP 2GB DDR3 PCI-E RETAIL 66 € Amazon
RAM: KINGSTON HX324C11SR/4 4GB 2400MHZ DDR3 XMP HYPERX SAVAGE 47 € Amazon

Some questions, what is better to have a powerhouse CPU or a good Video Card? or a middle solution, should I go for an Intel I3 with the budget I have, I read on the forums and elsewhere that 2 cores CPU's can not even launch some new games.

So guys what are your thoughts what can I change for better price/quality? The most important, will all those components work together? :)

Thank you for your help. people, I hope I didn't confuse you.

You should avoid having a powerful CPU but a very weak GPU in a new build UNLESS you plan on upgrading soon after. This is the case right now in the build you mentioned above. Since you live in Europe I will try to suggest the best possible build under 500 euros. Can you push for 550 if you have to?

- The CPU is weaker than the i5-4460 but it will perform well in most games because of It's hyper threading and 3.6 Ghz stock speed
- The 750 Ti performs well in most games and doesn't consume much power.
- There is 4GB RAM in there, add another 4GB when you can

I chose Intel because of It's upgrading possibilities. Your options are quite limited really. A new i5 would cost you about 55 euros more.

This build is better, it has 8 GB RAM. It's likely you need to upgrade your power supply when you upgrade your graphics card.

Thank you for replying to me, yes I could push it to this rage, I forgot to mention that I also need a HDD but that must be an easy choice.

EDIT
Gee sorry, I just seen that all answers are from you, man I appreciate that you took the time to search and gather these information, Thank you very much I will check it carefully, and I'll let you know, all though I'm not based in UK I'll be able to find these parts in my country too.

RCFProd I appreciate it man, Thank you.

These are prices from Germany, not UK. So hopefully prices will be equal or even less expensive in your area :).

Hi RCFProd, I checked the parts if they exist in shops around my city and they do, except the Case: BitFenix Comrade ATX Mid Tower Case, so I'll change it with something else, probably the one I chosen in my first post the ZALMAN ZM-T3 BLACK, I read some reviews on AsRock motherboard and it seems like a great mobo, the only thing is that is a micro-atx, will it suite in a midi atx case?

And another question, the I3 has two cores, does that mean that some games may not launch or not behave properly?

Anyway I feel comfortable with your choices in your 3rd post with the Asrock mobo. I'll visit my local retailer tomorrow. I appreciate your help.

Thank you!

The i3 4150 has 2 cores but It's great significiance is It's hyper threading. Now it won't perform as well as an i5 4xxx quad core CPU but It's performance is as good as a stock FX6300 and maybe better. You can simply upgrade to an i5 with this motherboard when the time is right. Remember, this is a 500 euro budget build. It's not great but It's surely good enough atleast to put pressure on an Xbox One console and will mostly perform better in most games. Your target should be 1080p @ 60 fps at medium settings in most games.
