Hi, I'm new to the site so im not sure if this was the correct place to post this (apologies if not)
i very recently upgraded my computer to an FX 4100 and a HD7850, and just today really started playing some more taxing games such as GTA4, i had no problems playing them maxed out apart from very a slight flickering now and again that could apparently be down to my sapphire HD7850's idle fan/clock speed and thought nothing of it, my cards temp readings seemed fine and i kept checking them, then all of a sudden i got a fuzzy screen and a burning smell so i instantly turned off my computer. i need to inspect further but i couldnt see any obvious melted/burnt areas and the internet seems to tell me that i may have blown my CPU, as it is only 430w and not a well known brand i knew i'd be running close to the requirement but i think i failed to account for my many case fans and LED's. i will inspect further tomorrow but does anyone have any advice for how to proceed and especially a suitable replacement PSU thats not too expensive? but definitely compatible? (im not a computer expert so any help would be great)
Thanks in advance
