Hi, I'm new to the site so im not sure if this was the correct place to post this (apologies if not)

i very recently upgraded my computer to an FX 4100 and a HD7850, and just today really started playing some more taxing games such as GTA4, i had no problems playing them maxed out apart from very a slight flickering now and again that could apparently be down to my sapphire HD7850's idle fan/clock speed and thought nothing of it, my cards temp readings seemed fine and i kept checking them, then all of a sudden i got a fuzzy screen and a burning smell so i instantly turned off my computer. i need to inspect further but i couldnt see any obvious melted/burnt areas and the internet seems to tell me that i may have blown my CPU, as it is only 430w and not a well known brand i knew i'd be running close to the requirement but i think i failed to account for my many case fans and LED's. i will inspect further tomorrow but does anyone have any advice for how to proceed and especially a suitable replacement PSU thats not too expensive? but definitely compatible? (im not a computer expert so any help would be great)

Thanks in advance :)

Corsair 500-650w units are good units and are on sale.myself with that new gaming card I get a 650w unit to make sure the 12v line has amps needed to run the CPU and gpu and still have room left. To size the ps take the max wattage of the CPU and video card and add them. That give you total wattage that the 12v line needs. Then decided the wattage by 12 for the amp needed. Make sure the ps has 100w more then needed on the 12v line to be safe.
