Hey, I got some money from my parents and my computer has been running slow recently. I'm tech savvy sort of but I don't feel comfortable picking what to upgrade on my computer my self.

Here is my computer specifications
Operating System
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
Kentsfield 65nm Technology
RAM
4.00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 400MHz (6-6-6-18)
Motherboard
ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5K/EPU (LGA775)
Graphics
MONITOR (1920x1080@60Hz)
2048MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 (NVIDIA)
Storage
465GB SAMSUNG HD501LJ ATA Device (SATA)
Optical Drives
PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-215 ATA Device

Upgrading my graphics card is out of the equation considering that I already upgraded it previously, i'm thinking of upgrading either my motherboard, cpu, or ram. My computer take a little bit of time to load things and i wouldn't mind some extra performance in my games.

Thanks in advance.

P.S the only driver that i found has worked for my graphics card is the Nvidia 340.52 version I think it's one of them one size fits all drivers it's not compatible with windows 10 maybe that's whats slowing it down any advice on how to fix that would be great. I think it's either my bios or like i heard the windows.old file can ruin things? but i checked it and there was barely anything in there I've also tried clearing every driver or Nvidia related folder in my computer and trying but eh that didn't work either. I have also tried every single driver in existence and this windows 8 one is the only one that works grrr. Maybe I might just need to downgrade.

oooops forgot to say i only got a little bit of money from my mum 100 dollars dont try to fit any part you think i should get into that price tag just dont make it something like 1000 dollar 4k quad core 6 gigahertz 10000 mhz a millisecond thing im not made of money lol

Solution
SSD is nice, I ran my Q6600 with an SSD since 2011...still decided to ditched it in 2014.
However, SSD does not help with the fps if he wants to play new AAA games @1080p.
You need a complete new rig and replace almost everything, yes, it will be something like above USD500, might reach USD1000.
LGA775 (Q6600) platform is dead, face it.
For USD100, you can only get a newer GPU but...
Any single cent you spend on it is considered as wasting money.

With $100 your best bet is to upgrade your GPU to a GTX 750 ti 2gb which is much faster then that GT 640 and with that budget you won't have enough to upgrade your CPU/MB & RAM.

If your dead-set on not upgrading your GPU then you might want to consider getting a SSD as it will help with slow load times and boot times but really doesn't affect game performance. IMO I would either (or both if possible) upgrade the RAM and GPU.

...unless OP spends it on an SSD big enough to replace the must-be-ancient 465GB model he has. It will make a great improvement on bootup / application start times and can be used in the next machine with no worries.
